THE SITE BLESSING
On May 25, 2008, Mass was held at the building site and Father John Cannon blessed the site after a procession around the grounds. About 110 people attended mass and a picnic afterwards. These are pictures taken at the mass and the procession and picnic following immediately after mass in honor of Christ the King, which gave everyone a chance to survey the location where the new church will be built. A Little Wind, A Lot of Faith!!
Father John Cannon and Deacon Michael Sedillo lead the procession around the grounds.
The picnic was a pot-luck and Bill and Pat Trembly donated a beautiful cake. It later was auctioned off and the proceeds also went to the building fund! Thanks to everyone who brought food and helped with the set-up and clean-up.
Mass, Procession and Picnic

Congregation Receives Communion
This was the first opportunity for many in the congregation to see the site where our new church will be built. The location is on on West Ridge Road, just east of the United Church of Angel Fire. Many people worked to make the day a success, setting up a large tent that served as the shelter for the alter.
Picnic tables were set up around the tent and there was an abundance of food at the picnic following the mass. The weather cooperated with a clear, sunny day and although the wind picked up and tossed things around a little, all-in-all it was a pleasant day. .
